Join us for Men’s Movement in the Market, Monday nights starting July 25th. For five weeks, we’ll be offering classes in the former VideoFag space in Kensington Market. Whether you are just curious about starting a yoga practice, or keen to get a great sweaty workout in, we’ve got something for you. We would like to invite you to the space for a free introductory session, Monday July 18th to give you a taste of the classes we’re offering as part of the series.

YOGA FOR STIFF MEN

 

6:30—7:45 PM

A great class for just getting started. Whether you are nervous and have never tried yoga before, or are dealing with injuries that may prevented you from getting to class, YFSM teaches basic beginner alignment principles, introduces breath techniques, and will get you starting to meditate. We incorporate therapeutic and restorative yoga, basic core stability, and mindfulness meditation to get you feeling great in your body, build strength and flexibility, and will empower you with the tools to reduce the effects of accumulated stress and tension in both the body and the mind.

SWEAT & MEDITATE

 

8:00—9:15 PM

An all levels medium to high intensity flow class incorporating elements of functional strength interval training, vinyasa yoga, and lots of core work. Expect a challenging and creative hour of sweaty fun, followed by some deep restorative postures and ending with mindfulness meditation. Ground yourself for the week ahead with this balanced and holistic approach to your mind/body health.
